This project required a Diaphragm Wall to be strutted by ESC Projects (M) Sdn Bhd in order for a 3 level basement to be constructed. ESC Projects (M) Sdn Bhd were given the Diaphragm Wall design and the basement design and asked to provide an economical and workable strutting design and material that would allow no more than 30mm of movement in the Diaphragm Wall.

ESC Projects (M) Sdn Bhd installed its propping in three layers, with each strutting level spanning the entire width of the site. All strutting members were preloaded using a hydraulic jack in order to ensure that when the excavation was carried out and the loads came on the props, there would be little or no movement in the Diaphragm Wall. Due to the design strength of the strutting ESC Projects (M) Sdn Bhd was able to help the Main Contractor fast track the project and finish the basement works ahead of schedule.
