Soil conditions were very soft marine clay up to depths of 16 metres. Ground Support Company Pte Ltd was employed to design and build the solution. Ground Support Company Pte Ltd provided 18 metre P Series Type 1 sheet piles and 16.5 metre P Series Type 2 sheet piles driven to full depth. The unique water tight clutch provided a water free work area for the men at the base of the 6 metre deep excavation.

A series of 3 cofferdams were constructed using the Ground Support Company Pte Ltd sheet piles and Ground Support Company Pte Ltds' particular strutting system. As a result the pile caps were constructed with no hindrance as the large section modulus of the sheet pile enabled one layer of Ground Support Company Pte Ltds' strutting to be placed at 8 metre intervals and allowing some 3 metres of working headroom.
