ESC Projects (M) Sdn Bhd were awarded a subcontract work to design, supply and install temporary cofferdams for the construction of a parallel bridge spanning across Sg. Bernam, Selangor. 6 of the piers which are in the river require cofferdams to cast the pilecaps.
A wide profile ESC BP sheet piles have been used to construct the 12.9m X 16.7m cofferdams with 3 layers of struts. The clutches were grouted with cement-bentonite mix to stop water seeping through sheet pile joints.
The project is still ongoing.
