Ground Support Company Pte Ltd was contracted by the Housing Development Board of Singapore to build a link road in the new developing suburb of Sengkang. The area was evolving into a large suburban hub. The Light Rail Transit and extensive bus systems were being built and hence extensive roading and drainage systems were required.

Ground Support Company Pte Ltd built a four lane road which stretched 1 kilometre and had concealed drains varying in size from 3 metres square to 1.5 metres square (placed on timber bakau piles) to service the run off from the neighbouring estates and roading systems. Extensive tree planting and turfing gave the road a finish which enabled the roads and drains to be functional as well as engaging.
