Ground Support Company Pte Ltd designed and built an 18 metre sheet pile to cater for a 3 level basement construction. Sembawang Construction Pte Ltd needed a basement which could be constructed quickly and cost effectively.

Ground Support Company Pte Ltd created a sheet pile wall which could be used as part of the permanent wall. The sheet piles were welded together after installation to provide an impervious vapour barrier. The wall was able then to be reduced in thickness and reinforcing was also decreased.

In order to use the sheet pile as the permanent wall they had to be driven very accurately. Ground conditions were hard so the clutches were predrilled thus enabling full penetration depth and a very high degree of accuracy in the vertical tolerances. To further ensure accurate verticality a pileleader with a high frequency hydraulic vibro hammer was used.
